My FMT 3 Year Update

essential oils nutrition Mar 18, 2019

I’m coming up on my 3 year anniversary since I went overseas for FMT treatment. In this video I share my updates and progress.

Over the years, I’ve received tons of emails asking about my progress and how the procedure worked for me. There are so many people considering this treatment and they want to know if it’s worth the investment.

For awhile, I wasn’t ready to post an update because I was disappointed in the results. I knew there were no guarantees, but I was hopeful.

I still recommend the procedure to those who ask me about it. It was a wonderful experience (as much as getting daily enemas of someone else’s gut bacteria can be).

But it was not the cure I was seeking. So, if you’re considering FMT, I’m not the one to advise you whether or not to do it. It’s a very personal choice, and you need to speak with the clinic performing the treatment.

I will however share some therapies and practices that have really helped me, and hopefully they will help you to.

What has helped me:

Essential oils

I use dōTERRA essential oils daily for everything from gut support to reducing stress and anxious feelings and to immune and detox to sleep and hormone support. These oils have helped a tremendously and fueled my mission to share these solutions with others like you seeking answers.

Essential oils support every aspect of the body. They work at the cellular level to address root cause issues. Aromatherapy is also incredibly supportive to the brain and calming the stress response and supporting your nervous system.

Prayer and Meditation

Practicing mindfulness and being in the present moment. Spending less of my time focusing on past regrets or future anxieties.

Your thoughts manifest as your reality. What you focus on matters. If you’re constantly focused on regrets from the past or you’re constantly worried about future events, your mind and body will be stuck in a state of fight or flight. You can’t heal in this state.

Also, your body doesn’t know the difference between what’s happening in real life and what’s happening in your mind. It responds the same way. So if you’re playing  out scenarios that are fueled by fear and worry, your body perceives this as an actual threat.

Joe Dispenza says, “your moment-by-moment thoughts exert a powerful healing effect on the brain … or they can work to your detriment.”

“Your thoughts have consequences so great that they can create your reality.” When you meditate and connect to something greater, you can create and then memorize such coherence between your thoughts and feelings that nothing in your outer reality—no thing, no person, no condition at any place or time—could move you from that level of energy.

Breath Work

  • Breathe in for count of 4, hold for count of 4, breathe out for count of 4 – calming to mind and nervous system
  • Abdominal breathing – reduces stress, activates parasympathetic nervous system
  • Alternate nostril breathing – energizing, balance, and focus

Gratitude Journal

Journaling things I’m grateful for. Express gratitude daily even for things that haven’t happened yet. Write them down and say them in the present tense as if they have happened.

Visualization

Visualize the outcomes you want. You must see it and feel it. This goes back to your thoughts. What you think about, you bring about. Visualization helps to activate the subconscious mind to bring about the things you want in life.

Visualize your body healing. Visualize yourself healthy, strong, and happy. See it, feel it, believe it.

Community

Spend time with friends, family, colleagues. Surround yourself with people who you admire, who are uplifting and encouraging. Remove yourself from negative people.
